“Heartbreaking news”: a player had to leave the field early this weekend, forcing another injury for the Spurs

Following a knock to Ryan Sessegnon during an Under-21 game against West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur has now suffered another injury to its full-back position.

The young Englishman’s Tottenham career has been marred by injury after injury, preventing him from ever having the chance to gain any traction before having to miss further time due to injury.

Even though Spurs have played nearly 30 games in the 2023–24 season, the former Fulham defender has hardly touched a ball under Ange Postecoglou.

Sessegnon, who has just recovered from his most recent issue, was included in Tottenham’s U21 starting lineup for their Saturday match against West Ham, along with players like Jamie Donley and Dane Scarlett.

Tottenham’s Ryan Sessegnon sustains yet another injury.

But he was out of commission in thirty-five minutes due to injury. After playing the ball into the penalty area, Sessegnon beat his man and gathered up the ball wide on the left, looking to pull up quickly (SpursPLAY – 35 minutes).

Following the incident, Sessegnon remained on the ground and got medical attention. Eventually, he stood up and left the field to be replaced by Jahziah Linton. The pundit referred to it as “heartbreaking news.”

Spurs  View:

I have the deepest sympathy for Ryan Sessegnon. He plays football for a living, but he never has good success with injuries. He will never get the opportunity to start for the Spurs starting lineup, in my opinion. A transfer overseas to a less competitive league might spark his career.
