They won’t’… Chris Sutton predicts who’ll win Nottingham Forest vs West Ham United

Chris Sutton has predicted how Nuno’s Nottingham Forest will fare against David Moyes’s West Ham United.

The former Chelsea striker and BBC Sport pundit thinks that there will be three goals at the City Ground.

So, what has Chris Sutton said about Nottingham Forest against West Ham United? Let’s take a look.

Chris Sutton backs Nottingham Forest to win vs West Ham United

Well, Nottingham Forest and West Ham United will play against each other at the City Ground in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Both Forest and West Ham are in desperate need of a win. While the Reds have to pick up all three points to create more gap between themselves and the bottom three, the Hammers still have a slim chance of ending up in the Premier League top four.

Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has backed Forest to beat West Ham, noting that the Hammers got hammered by Arsenal in the London derby last time around.

Sutton told BBC Sport: “It’s fair to say that both these teams need a victory – neither side has managed one in the league in 2024 – and this is a hard one to call.

The usual way of thinking with West Ham would be to ask if they are going to bounce back from their 6-0 home defeat by Arsenal.

“I am going to say they won’t. We know David Moyes’ teams have been resilient in the past but I can’t back anyone who has been beaten that heavily the previous week – it is not just a case of clicking your fingers and turning it around.

“The Hammers surely can’t be lax as they were against Arsenal, but I am going with Nottingham Forest to find a way through.

“Sutton’s prediction: 2-1.”

My View: Nottingham Forest will pick up all three points

In my opinion, Nottingham Forest will pick up all three points from the Premier League match against West Ham United at the City Ground.

First of all, the match is at home for Forest. So, Nuno’s side will have an advantage.

Secondly, West Ham are in really poor form at the moment. David Moyes’s side have lost their last two Premier League matches and have conceded nine goals without scoring any.

The Hammers are without a win in their last five Premier League matches. Peter Crouch expects the London club to lose to Forest.

While Forest have lost three of their last four Premier League games, they have shown signs of improvement.

The defeat to Newcastle United at the City Ground last weekend was controversial. Arsenal won by only a one-goal margin against Forest.
