Dean Saunders calls Everton “doomed” as he announces the team’s relegation in real time following Forest’s victory

The fact that Nottingham Forest defeated West Ham, according to Dean Saunders, means that Sheffield United and Burnley are now doomed. He also mentioned Everton as a club to watch.

Despite having one more game remaining, Forest’s three points lifted them above Crystal Palace to 15th place, placing five points between them and Everton in the relegation zone.

As they await the resolution of their points deduction appeal, Everton’s victory would move them to within two points of the Eagles. As a result, both teams now view this match as vital.

Speaking in real time on talkSPORT [February 17, 17:35], Saunders said, “Forest has won big.” Looking at the bottom of the league right now, Burnley and Sheffield United seem destined to fail. Brentford, have a look at Everton and these scores; that’s not a good outcome for them. But those are three very important considerations for Forest.

A relegation six-point match pits Everton against Crystal Palace.

Even with 13 games remaining in the season, the outcome of this match could determine whether either team survives or is relegated. If things go right, Sean Dyche’s team might escape the relegation zone with a victory.

Everton may receive points back from their points-deduction appeal if they can get closer to their relegation rivals. This would allow them to pass Palace, who are presently ranked 15th in the Premier League.

Palace, however, is a struggling club in and of itself. Although Roy Hodgson’s departure has been widely publicized, the 76-year-old became unwell during training before the news was made public, placing the Eagles in a precarious situation.

Oliver Glasner, the former manager of Frankfurt, appears to be the one to take over at Selhurst Park, although he won’t be in control for the match on Monday against Goodison.

Everton

It appears that Roy Hodgson will be let go from Crystal Palace prior to the Everton match.

Due to the fact that both teams are in difficult situations for very different reasons, the result of Monday night’s game could be fatal for the team that doesn’t win all three points.
