Sutton doesn’t trust Hammers

Chris Sutton has made his opinions on West Ham known, and he will not support the squad on Saturday afternoon when they play Nottingham Forest in hopes of winning or even tying.

Sutton doesn’t trust Hammers.

A squad that was hammered O-6 in its previous game need a lot of faith, and even though the players may talk about coming back, those are just words.

Furthermore, Sutton makes it very evident that you can’t just click your fingers and make things happen. Six is a very harsh punishment.

The BBC analyst, who hasn’t exactly supported the Hammers to win a game this season, correctly notes that Forest is just as desperate for a win as we are.

And he votes for the Midlands squad because he thinks they will win at the City Ground by an unlikely goal in three.

His argument that neither team has managed one in the league in 2024 makes it difficult to disagree with, and it’s a close call.

“The usual way of thinking with West Ham would be to ask if they are going to bounce back from their 6-0 home defeat by Arsenal,” he wrote on the BBC website.

I’ll state that they won’t. We are aware that David Moyes’ teams have shown resiliency in the past, but I can’t support anyone who has suffered a significant loss the week before—it takes more than just crossing your fingers to make things better.

Although the Hammers can’t afford to play as carelessly as they did against Arsenal, I predict Nottingham Forest to win.
