48-year-old hierarchy in love as West Ham’s manager fit is “absolutely unbelievable” – journalist

It is said that West Ham United’s executives are huge fans of the 48-year-old David Moyes replacement, who has been described as a “completely unbelievable” fit for the team and is being “considered” by the team.

Moyes’s West Ham contract predicament

The East Londoners have had a terrible start to 2024; since the year’s beginning, they have failed to win a single match across all competitions.

This has increased the pressure on head coach Moyes, who is now scheduled to depart in June when his contract expires. Even though this is probably one of West Ham’s greatest successful periods in history, supporters don’t seem to agree on whether the Scotsman can lead the team ahead.

All those involved will cherish their Europa Conference League victory in Prague, but since the summer of 2022, there have been worries about Moyes’ rigid approach to games and domestic form.

Owner David Sullivan appears to be aware of the dissatisfaction among supporters (ExWHUemployee), and he has given the team the option to decide whether to extend Moyes’ term at Rush Green.

According to Sean Whetstone, West Ham is expected to get offers from Lille manager Paulo Fonseca and former PSG manager Christophe Galtier as possible Moyes replacements. Additionally, there have been rumors that Steve Cooper of Nottingham Forest could be considered.

Toby Cudworth, a journalist for 90 minutes and a West Ham fan, has provided an update on Moyes’ contract predicament and gone into further information about the story in a piece and on X.

Cudworth reports that as technical director Tim Steidten and others work on a succession plan, West Ham is still no closer to deciding Moyes’ long-term future. Instead, they are looking at other options.

They have Graham Potter, the former Chelsea manager, on their radar. In fact, it’s said that Potter has been nominated by West Ham as a managerial contender to succeed Moyes.

“The David Moyes contract saga is no closer to reaching a resolution,” he stated.

“He has the option to stay at West Ham or leave, but negotiations for a new two-and-a-half-year deal have slowed down due to recent results and differences over January objectives. It appears that extension is the most likely outcome, but it is normal for West Ham to be thinking about their succession plan and exploring other options. Graham Potter and Paulo Fonseca are the only two names that made the short list.”

Cudworth claims in a ninety-minute segment that the West Ham leadership is a true Potter lover as well. After being fired by Chelsea last year, the Englishman is still without a club. However, it’s crucial to note that talkSPORT analyst Darren Bent described Potter as a “unbelievable fit.”

Bent remarked, “I think Potter would be a great fit, so it would be interesting to see what type of manager they do want.”

“He would be an incredibly amazing fit with the players they have.”
