Tottenham extends a contract offer to the playmaker for £600k per week

Frankie de Jong, a notable player, has received a four-year contract offer from Tottenham Hotspur in an attempt to join Ange Postecoglou’s side.

The player first considered signing with Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs in 2018, which is when this offer came up.

This season has seen a revitalization of the North London club, with chairman Daniel Levy’s choice in hiring Postecoglou being praised as one of his best recent choices.

The Australian, who moved from Glasgow to North London after winning multiple honours at Celtic, is now seen as a more respected member of the team. Gary Neville and other prominent football players are among his ardent admirers due to his fierce and high-pressing game style. His impact is only growing as Tottenham fights for Champions League qualifying.

Even though Tottenham doesn’t have any hardware this season, significant prizes might just be a matter of time if their present success continues. The fact that Tottenham was able to outmaneuver Bayern Munich and Barcelona in order to sign Radu Dragusin and Lucas Bergvall in January is proof positive that the team is creating a positive atmosphere.

In anticipation of the summer, Tottenham has been connected to more well-known players, such as Ivan Toney of Brentford. But Frenkie de Jong of Barcelona has recently surfaced as an attractive elite target.

The Dutchman, who was called “spectacular” by Barca manager Xavi, disclosed that in 2018, he was on the verge of joining Spurs but finally decided to stay at Camp Nou.

Jijantes FC and journalist Gerard Romero have reported that Postecoglou’s team has rekindled its interest in the midfield player. Tottenham reportedly made an out-of-window approach to Barcelona in an attempt to sign de Jong, and they allegedly offered him a four-year contract.
