Report: Following an injury scare, a Tottenham player was not seen in open training

Destiny Udogie left the Spurs game early, thus she is not present at this morning’s open training session at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This season, Udogie has been a crucial member of Ange Postecoglou’s lineup; the left-back has adapted to the Premier League like a fish to water.

With the Lilywhites playing a high defensive line, the 21-year-old’s ability to invert and handle the ball in the middle of the pitch is improving steadily. His quick recovery rate has also shown to be a valuable asset.

Given his significance to the team, Spurs supporters may have had some doubts when the defender walked off in the 80th minute of the match against Brighton, leaving Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in his place.

Destiny Udogie did not show up for Tottenham’s pregame workout. Postecoglou said to Football London following the match that he was unsure if the Italian had cramps or something else.

Udogie appears to be dealing with a more serious condition than a cramp, though, as he was not spotted working out with his colleagues throughout the live broadcast.

To find out the specifics of Udogie’s injury, we will have to wait for Postecoglou’s press conference. Ben Davies is a trustworthy backup that the Tottenham manager can rely on, so he won’t be worrying about this.
