Postecoglou wants to bring another failed Chelsea player to Spurs, according to reports

Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly considering a summer deal for Portuguese sensation Joao Felix, according to Fichajes.net.

Timo Werner, a former Chelsea forward, joined Spurs in January and has since made a name for himself in North London.

It has now been revealed that Ange Postecoglou has his sights set on a different forward who did not perform up to par during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Felix didn’t exactly blow everyone away during his second half of the previous season on loan at the West London club, and the Blues decided not to sign him long-term last summer.

The Atletico Madrid-owned 24-year-old was sent on loan to Barcelona last summer, but he hasn’t exactly made an impression there either, with just four goals in 18 league games this season (Transfermarkt).

Spurs have reportedly entered the competition to sign Joao Felix, with the Lilywhites willing to offer the striker a chance to revitalize his career. Fitzpatrick has stated that Tottenham has sensed an opportunity to sign Felix.

Tottenham’s apparent interest in the Portuguese international is being driven by Postecoglou, an Australian who believes the forward will be a significant “coup” for his team.

Felix’s aspirations are currently believed to be to stay with the Catalan club past the conclusion of this season, despite the fact that the source also states that Aston Villa is showing interest in the forward.

Spurs Views

Felix will be able to express himself freely under Postecoglou’s guidance, as the Australian will release some of Felix’s strain. The 24-year-old’s difficulties at Chelsea and Barcelona make it doubtful that Atleti will ask for a hefty price for him. This transfer rumor seems like it might have some merit.
