When Heung-min Son is eligible to rejoin Tottenham following the Asian Cup

When Heung-min Son is eligible to rejoin Tottenham following the Asian Cup

Soccer.London has disclosed that Son Heung-min might be available for Tottenham’s match against Brighton on Saturday in the event that South Korea loses on Tuesday in the Asian Cup semifinals.

Of the three Tottenham players still overseas on international duty, Son is the only one remaining after Senegal and Mali were ousted from the African Cup of Nations.

Last week, the Spurs player saved the day for South Korea, helping them defeat Australia and secure a spot in the competition’s final four with a free kick in extra time.

Now, with two games remaining, Jurgen Klinsmann’s team may make history by bringing the Asian Cup back to Korea for the first time since 1960.

Heung-min Son is returning to Tottenham, but when?

Soccer.London explains that Son will fly back to London in the days that follow and be available to participate in the match against Brighton should the Taeguk Warriors lose to Jordan in the semifinal on Tuesday.

But if South Korea defeats the Jordanians and advances to the final on Saturday at Lusail Stadium, the captain of Tottenham will only return for the team’s match against Wolves on February 17.

Spurs Views

The majority of Tottenham supporters will want Son to advance to the Asian Cup final and win the trophy, even if it would be advantageous for Spurs if South Korea lost on Tuesday. The forward should return the trophy to Korea and add his name to the annals of history.
