At Tottenham, the statistic that many had anticipated when Ange took over has materialized

Richarlison’s first goal against Everton on Saturday night allowed Tottenham to shatter the record of 35 straight league games in which they scored.

Following Saturday’s thrilling 4–4 draw with Luton, Newcastle has 48 goals for and 37 against, while Tottenham has 49 goals for and 35 against. After Ange Postecoglou took over, most people anticipated that Tottenham would start a new phase of exciting play with plenty of opportunities on both ends. Ange has outperformed expectations in his first 23 games, averaging 3.7 goals scored per game.

Although Spurs have given up more goals than any other team in the Premier League, Ange will be happy to see his team near the top of the goals-for category. The only teams with more goals are Manchester City (51 goals) and Liverpool (52 goals). With 49 goals, Tottenham and Aston Villa are level for third place.

The most productive offense on the road is that of Tottenham.

Tottenham has surprisingly scored more goals away from home (26 in 12 games) than on the road (23 in 11 games). Despite playing one fewer game, City’s 24 away goals rank second, making them the highest-scoring road team.

Spurs had the third-best away record in the Premier League despite giving up 20 goals in hostile territory, which is more than any of the top five teams. With 22 points apiece, only Liverpool and City have taken more than Spurs’ 20. At an average of 3.8 goals per game, Tottenham has scored 46 goals in 12 away games, more than any other club.

It’s been harder to score at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs have scored the seventh-most goals in 11 games at home, but they haven’t been quite as prolific there. With 15 goals allowed at home, Ange’s team has tied for the fewest goals conceded. At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 38 goals have been scored, or an average of 3.5 per game. More people have attended eight teams’ home games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium than the 38 total.

Ange, who showed up at the game as promised, has left his mark on Tottenham with his offense-first attitude, which has left most fans happy. The Australian coach will now aim to strengthen his defense in order to make Spurs a reliable title contender.
