Sources: In a stunning move, Bayern Munich may let the 28-year-old to join Tottenham.

According to insiders who spoke to Football Insider, Tottenham could make a huge move if they are unable to sign Conor Gallagher, and Bayern Munich may permit midfield maestro Joshua Kimmich to leave this month.

Football Insider (January 26) was informed by sources that Spurs are preparing an unexpected last-ditch effort to wrest Gallagher away from Chelsea before the January transfer window shuts.

The 28-year-old is rumored to demand between £40 and £60 million from the German powerhouses in order to leave this month.

Chelsea and Tottenham have been negotiating about a deal for Gallagher, but the Blues are seeking up to £80 million in exchange for the right to allow him to join their rivals in London.

After adding attacker Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig and center-back Radu Dragusin permanently from Genoa, Ange Postegoclou’s team has now made acquiring a central midfield player their first priority.

Spurs are again keeping an eye on Kimmich after losing out to West Ham United for Man City star Kalvin Phillips, but they have rekindled their interest in the England international.

The Germany international, who has made 26 appearances and recorded one goal and six assists in all competitions, has been a staple for Thomas Tuchel’s team this year.

Regarded as one of Europe’s top defensive midfield players, he has made 370 appearances for Bayern, tallying 100 assists and 41 goals.

Along with being a target for Premier League powerhouse Liverpool, he still has 18 months left on his deal with the second-place Bundesliga team.

Tottenham

In addition to finishing fifth in the Premier League, Tottenham was most recently ousted from the FA Cup following a 1-0 loss to Man City at home on Friday, January 26.

The next time they play in the league is on Wednesday, January 31, against Brentford.
