Report: The real reason why Antonio Nusa has decided to snub Tottenham for Brentford move instead

Antonio Nusa has reportedly opted to join Brentford over Tottenham due to the winger believing he will play more at the west London side.

The Club Brugge star looked set to join Spurs this January after Ange Postecoglou’s side pushed hard to bring the Norway international to the Premier League ahead of rival clubs.

However, Brentford are now leading the charge to sign Nusa, with the teenager set to have a medical ahead of joining Thomas Frank’s side in the summer.

And according to the Evening Standard, the real reason why Nusa chose Brentford over Tottenham was due to the winger feeling he would play more for the Bees than if he were to move to north London.

Whilst Nusa has been sensational for Brugge this season and could eventually become a starter for a club like Tottenham, there’s no denying that the winger might take some time to reach this level.

However, at Brentford, Nusa would become an instant addition to Frank’s starting XI, with the Norwegian wonderkid set to become the west London side’s club-record signing.

Antonio Nusa has made the right call choosing Brentford over Tottenham

Nusa has been one of the revelations of the season in Europe, with the winger’s performances in the UEFA Champions League dazzling fans and putting the forward on the map.

And for his next career move, the 18-year-old is making a good decision in choosing Brentford over a move to Tottenham, despite Spurs’ reputation.

We have seen over the years many youngsters lose their way at Tottenham, mainly through a lack of playing time and no real plan from the club for their development.

And for Nusa, signing for Brentford is a brave decision that could work out well for the winger, who will be a regular next season in the Premier League for a club who have cracked the code on player development.
