Reportedly, a number of Saudi clubs are preparing to sign a 28-year-old Tottenham player at the last minute

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is being pursued by a number of Saudi Arabian clubs prior to the transfer window closing this month.

The Dane’s future has been uncertain for some time, and in the past several months, he has been connected to several teams. The midfielder for Tottenham is reportedly being targeted by other Saudi Pro League teams.

Many Saudi teams are interested in signing Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Whenever Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho were in charge of Tottenham, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was almost always listed first on the team sheet.

The Dane was considered one of the club’s leaders because of his frequent consistency as a performer.

But after Ange Postecoglou joined the team in the summer, it was obvious that Hojbjerg would not be a regular starter for the Spurs going forward.

The 28-year-old has consequently been strongly linked to leaving Tottenham, and according to TeamTalk, several Saudi Arabian clubs are reportedly considering a last-minute attempt to sign him.

Daniel Levy allegedly looked for possible buyers for Hojbjerg, and Saudi teams are willing to pay Tottenham’s rumored £20 million asking price.

According to the source, Hojbjerg, who is in the last 18 months of his deal, is amenable to leaving Tottenham this month.

Tottenham’s midfield options are limited.

Ange Postecoglou does not usually turn to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at Tottenham, but he might be required in an emergency.

Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma are not available for Spurs because they are both away at the AFCON on international duty. With the exception of Hojbjerg, of course, it leaves them in the middle of the park with just Rodrigo Bentancur and Oliver Skipp.

Tottenham will only have two choices in central midfield until their African duo returns to North London if they decide to sell the Dane.

It wouldn’t be a bad idea for Spurs to hold onto Hojbjerg until the conclusion of the season, although it could be a bit of a risk.
