‘Astronomical’ transfer developments at PL club as Spurs-Sky Sports news astonishes pundits

Alan Hutton claims that Ange Postecoglou might make Tottenham even better by bringing in Conor Gallagher, even though Chelsea doesn’t see the transaction that way.

This month, the England international is allegedly being linked to a move away from Stamford Bridge once more. Tottenham is apparently still interested in signing the midfielder, and Chelsea is supposedly open to considering offers for him. [Christmas 22, Sky Sports]

Spurs were rumored to have laid the foundation for a possible deal during the summer transfer window; however, the move was shelved after the Blues decided not to sell the 23-year-old.

Hutton holds the opinion that Gallagher would significantly strengthen Postecoglou’s team at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, even though he doesn’t see why Chelsea would want to transfer the midfield player—especially to a nearby competitor.

He’s a pretty decent football player, in my opinion,” Hutton told Tottenham News.

He is a homegrown player and occasionally serves as Chelsea’s captain, thus if Chelsea decides to sell him, they will make a 100% profit. You can see that they have made a profit because of the enormous amount of money they have spent since Bohely entered the building.

“From a Chelsea perspective, I understand it financially, but I believe he is one of their best players, so selling him now hurts them.”

It’s not ideal to sell him to a rival after that. However, I believe he improves teams like Tottenham if he plays there.

Tottenham Gary has been an essential member of Chelsea’s squad under Mauricio Pochettino’s leadership this season, starting 20 of the Blues’ 21 Premier League games. His only absence came from a suspension following a red card against Brighton.

The 23-year-old has been one of the star performers at Stamford Bridge this season, leading the team from the middle of the park and scooping up four assists when most have struggled.

Although it wouldn’t go over well if he moved across London to join Postecoglou’s team this month, Spurs would be getting a fantastic steal if they could close this deal.

In other Tottenham news, Hutton predicted that a certain Spurs player would “no problem” fill Son Heung-Min’s shoes.
