“If no significant events occur” Leeds United’s 23-year-old will start on Saturday, according to Daniel Farke

Daniel Farke is probably going to make some changes to his Leeds United team tomorrow, even though the team won the FA Cup 3-0 at Peterborough United.

Farke changed the team’s uniform seven times since Leeds’ league match on New Year’s Day against Birmingham City, so it wouldn’t be shocking if they wore the same uniforms against Cardiff City.

Dan James, Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter, and others could return to the team, but Farke has already promised a start at one position.

Since Illan Meslier’s suspension and Karl Darlow’s unfortunate injury, Kristoffer Klaesson has started Leeds’ last two games across all competitions, putting in a few strong performances.

While Farke lavished praise on Klaesson last week, he made it clear in his news conference yesterday afternoon that Meslier will return to the starting lineup tomorrow.

Meslier will get immediate recall from Farke

“Thank heavens, Ilan [Meslier] is back, and he will get back to the goal if nothing major happens in the next training session,” he declared.

Given that Klaesson has performed flawlessly in both of the matches, some may view this as an overly severe judgement, but it is undoubtedly the expected one.
