Trevoh Chalobah is free to speak with any interested clubs, according to Chelsea. The Stamford Bridge defender is admired by Premier League sides.

Match90mins is aware that although Chelsea would have preferred to sign the academy product and cash in on him, the London giants have conceded that they could need to approve an initial loan agreement for a youngster who hasn’t touched a ball because of injury this season.

Trevoh Chalobah hasn’t appeared since Mauricio Pochettino was hired.

And it doesn’t seem like that will change. According to HITC Football, Chelsea has notified the 24-year-old that he is free to start negotiations with any interested parties in the January transfer window.

Chelsea allows Trevoh Chalobah to go.

AC Milan has expressed interest, and negotiations have begun with Roma, which is led by former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

Likewise, Bayern Munich, the formidable German team linked to Raphael Varane of Manchester United, is looking to bolster their defence.

As match90mins is aware, Chalobah is admired by Crystal Palace, West Ham United, and Bournemouth, all of whom have recently made inquiries about him. However, it seems likely that Chalobah will follow in the footsteps of former Chelsea players Joel Iling-Junior, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, and Bayern Munich by packing up and leaving the Premier League.

Chalobah gained international attention in 2021 after making his Chelsea debut in the UEFA Super Cup victory over Villarreal, putting on a show that Rio Ferdinand called “unbelievable.” A reunion in Bavaria is currently planned for the former England under-21 international, who was a regular at the Bridge under current Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel.

Chalobah and Tuchel might be reunited at Bayern Munich.

But whether Bayern will pay the kind of money Chelsea are demanding is still up in the air.

Chalobah was not acquired by Chelsea for the £50 million they had requested in the summer.

Additionally, match90mins is aware that Bournemouth is in advanced discussions to hire Oscar Zambrano from LDU Quito.
