Tottenham Hotspur is expected to get financial support after Galatasaray qualified for the Europa League’s next round, according to a report by Fotospor.

Tanguy Ndombele and Davinson Sanchez were offloaded by Tottenham to Galatasaray in the summer. The Frenchman signed a season-long loan agreement with the option to make the transfer permanent for €15 million (£12.8 million), while the Colombian joined the Istanbul team for €9.5 million (£8.1 million).

The center back has garnered high praise for his performances and has rapidly established himself as an essential member of Okan Buruk’s defense (Sporx).

On the other hand, Ndombele has had difficulty receiving consistent playing time at Rams Park, and some sources have even speculated that his loan period may end early in January (Fanatik).

Spurs to receive further funding

In Tuesday’s final Champions League group stage match, Galatasaray lost 1-0 to Copenhagen; Sanchez played the entire 90 minutes, but Ndombele was forced to watch from the sidelines.

Due to the outcome, the Danish team has advanced to the next round of the competition at the cost of the Turkish team, whereas Galatasaray has been eliminated from the Europa League after placing third in Group A ahead of Christmas.

Fotospor suggests clauses in Ndomebele’s and Davinson Sanchez‘s transfer, Galatasaray now will have to make a payment to Tottenham following the continuation of their European adventures.
