Conor Gallagher may not want to be sold, despite reports from 90 minutes that he would prefer to remain at Chelsea in January.

The Daily Mail’s revelation earlier this week that Chelsea had changed their mind about Gallagher’s future and opted to list him for sale gave Tottenham a significant boost.

The source claimed that negotiations for a new contract for the 23-year-old are at a standstill and that the Blues are now open to receiving proposals for their academy graduate.

TalkSPORT, which stated a few days ago that Chelsea is anticipated to cash in on the midfield player and utilize the money to buy a new striker, also supported this.

Given Spurs connections, Gallagher wishes to remain at Chelsea.

Gallagher would want to sign a new contract and stay with his boyhood club, according to 90 minutes.

It is revealed that Mauricio Pochettino wants to keep the midfield player at Stamford Bridge because he is a major fan of him.

A January sale is reportedly very much on the cards, but the West London team and Gallagher are reportedly no closer to agreeing on a new contract.

If Gallagher doesn’t agree to a new deal before the transfer market starts, I’m sure Tottenham will put Chelsea to the test with one or two offers.

Despite the fact that Pochettino appears to think highly of the 23-year-old, considering the West London club’s recent performance, the Argentine is not in a particularly strong position and may not be able to make significant transfer demands.
