Swansea City is now considering Chris Davies as a potential replacement for Michael Duff, which means Tottenham Hotspur could lose him.

Shortly after losing Russell Martin to Southampton, Swansea is once again searching for a new manager.

After losing to Sheffield Wednesday in the League One playoff final, Michael Duff was enticed by the Swans to leave Barnsley.

Duff was let go on Monday, though, as he never really seemed to be the right fit for Swansea.

With just six wins and nine losses in his previous 21 games, Duff is no longer employed, and Swansea is currently looking for a replacement.

Swansea City wants Chris Davies, the Tottenham Hotspur coach.

Spurs will now be on high alert as Swansea is planning a raid for Chris Davies, their senior assistant coach.

Davies is “emerging as a leading candidate” for the Swansea position, according to BBC Sport.

Similar information is reported by Wales Online, indicating that Swansea has shortlisted Davies following Duff’s dismissal.

Davies was a summer target for Swansea, but he decided to join Tottenham’s coaching staff under Ange Postecoglou.

Davies does have a past with Swansea, though; at the age of just 25, he served as Brendan Rodgers’ assistant at Liberty Stadium.

In recent times, Davies has accompanied Rodgers to Liverpool, Celtic, and Leicester City.

Although Rodgers had previously praised Davies as a “magnificent coach,” the two have since parted ways after Leicester fired them last season. Rodgers went back to Celtic, while Davies moved to Spurs.

According to reports from Alasdair Gold of Football London in September, Davies’ influence on Spurs training has left the players in awe.

Accordingly, Postecoglou would suffer a great deal if Davies left for Swansea, and Tottenham will be praying he stays in Wales.
