Although Ian Poveda’s inclusion in Colombia’s squad for their December matches has come as a bit of a surprise to the Leeds United player, it could potentially benefit youngster Mateo Joseph.
This season, Poveda, 23, has made six appearances for Leeds in the Championship. He has actually participated in 17 of our 19 Championship games this season. In 11 of those games, a substitute was not used. however, a standard cog.

The sudden absence of Ian Poveda could be advantageous for Mateo Joseph.
That might give Joseph the opportunity to reenter. The England U20, who was born in Spain, played six times at the senior level and was a regular member of the Leeds team on twelve occasions last season.
